DENVER (AP) -- A man suspected in a fatal shooting outside a Denver concert venue in 2004 has been arrested in Las Vegas.
The Denver District Attorney's Office says 34-year-old George Allen IV has been charged with first-degree murder in the Aug. 4, 2004, death of 21-year-old Kurt Levias outside the Bluebird Theater.
The Denver Post reports Levias' cousin, local rap artist Twyla Rivers, who goes by a stage name "Lady MEnace," was at the concert featuring nine up-and-coming rap artists that night, and Levias was working as her bodyguard.
An altercation broke out during the concert when Rivers got onstage and several women in the audience began flashing gang signs. Levias was shot while trying to protect one of his sisters after the huge fight spilled out into the street.
