Mesa County DHS promoting heart gallery

The Colorado Heart Gallery will be displaying children up for adoption at the Mesa Mall until Apr. 2.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – Colorado is among 42 states to have an active Heart Gallery, which is a display of children who are waiting for an adoptive family. Mesa County will be featuring the Colorado Heart Gallery at the Mesa Mall in the Target wing.

In Mesa County, there are approximately 20 children each year that become available for adoption through the Mesa County Department of Human Services. These children are usually over age 7 and may have developmental, medical and other special needs.
