Mesa County Historical Society community picnic

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) - Full plates of food were served up Thursday at Cross Orchards Living History Farm when the Mesa County and Palisade Historical Society hosted a community picnic.

Music was performed by the North 17th Street band.

At the picnic, the historical society unveiled the Colorado Quilt Square, an art piece that will be part of Cross Orchards.

The Mesa County historical society will be hosting a lecture on the 50th anniversary of Operation Foresight history of downtown on the third Thursday of October

The next event for the Palisade Historical Society will be their old-fashioned Christmas.
