Mesa County Sheriff's Posse teams up with Salvation Army

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Each weekend, you'll hear the familiar jingles of the Salvation Army bells at City Market locations across the Grand Valley.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Posse will be hosting its annual food drive to benefit the Salvation Army. Each weekend, the posse will move to different City Market locations across Mesa County.

Saturday kicked off the food drive at the Fruita City Market, and they'll make their way to Orchard Mesa by mid-December to wrap it up.

The sheriff's posse says it's a great cause, and they've been able to collect a lot of food in the past two years.

Below are the following locations where you can donate. The posse will be collecting food from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

November 17-18: City Market Fruita
November 24-25: City Market 1st and Rood, Grand Junction
December 1-2: City Market 32 Road, Clifton
December 8-9: City Market 24 Road, Grand Junction
December 15-16: City Market Orchard Mesa
