GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Volunteers have been preparing for months and the Montrose Food and Wine festival begins tonight.
The event has helped children in the Grand Valley for over a decade. The festivities will start with an exclusive sponsor dinner. The interactive setup will give guests the chance to pick whichever local restaurant they want.
"It's really exciting to have a community that is as gracious as this community. We've been able to raise about a half a million dollars in 11 years," Board Member Gary Bean said.
Money raised from the Montrose Wine and Food Festival is given to The Black Canyon Boys and Girls Club and CASA of the Seventh Judicial District. Last year each organization received $16,000 from the event.
Tomorrow there will be a grand tasting and live music. If you are interested in attending the cost is $55.
