MONTROSE COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) - Montrose County health officials will be offering injectable vaccines and flu mist (nasal) for $25.
They say everyone over the age of 6 should get vaccinated for influenza. Getting vaccinated is especially important for health care workers, and other people who live with or care for high risk people to keep from spreading flu to other high risk people.
Kids under 6 months are at high risk of serious flu illness, but are too young to be vaccinated. People who care for them should be vaccinated instead.
Flu shots are available every day, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm on a walk-in basis (no appointment needed) Health & Human Services.
West End residents can call (970) 864-7319 for flu vaccine availability in Nucla.
The clinic in Montrose County is Wednesday, October 12, from 7:30am to 4:00pm at the Montrose County Fairgrounds.
The second clinic is Thursday, October 27, and Wednesday, November 9 at Health and Human Services, located at 1845 S. Townsend.
