DENVER (AP) -- The list of Colorado communities canceling their July Fourth fireworks shows because of extreme wildfire conditions is growing.
Sam Rainguet with the CIty of Grand Junction tells KKCO 11 News that as of right now, the city's display scheduled for July 4th at Suplizio field is still on.
So far, the list of cancellations includes Colorado Springs, Fremont County, Highlands Ranch, Kiowa, Monument and Commerce City.
Last year, Gov. John Hickenlooper banned private fireworks statewide after dry conditions fueled major wildfires.
