More emphasis on gun laws from Boulder County DA

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo.-- Stan Garnett, Boulder County District Attorney, is placing more emphasis on enforcing gun laws in Colorado.

He said background checks are not enough and new laws in Colorado make it even tougher for people to apply for background checks.

Another law requires people with a domestic violence conviction to give up their fire arms, or they face charges.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera, Garnett said the laws do not go far enough, and he believes there are too many guns in the hands of the public.
