COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- A mountain lion that grabbed a dog from its owner's leash and killed and ate it has been euthanized.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesman Michael Seraphin says the mountain lion was deemed a threat to public safety and a trap was set to capture it after the incident last Wednesday.
According to KOAA-TV, the animal was euthanized and sent to Fort Collins for a necropsy, where remnants of the Daschund were discovered in the stomach contents.
