GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Visitors at the VA Medical Center are enjoying new art work today, as a month long mural is finally complete.
Local muralist, Lee Bowerman, and Dana Martindale donated their time and efforts to complete a 40 foot long mural in the VA Center's cafeteria.
The piece is dedicated to America's military, and honors veterans, like themselves, in Grand Junction.
"To hit the highlights, we wanted to make sure that World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and the current conflicts that we're involved in are all depicted with the appropriate equipment, uniforms and people involved," said Lee Bowerman, a local muralist.
You might recognize the work; Bowerman has dozens of murals throughout the Valley and 30 in the VA Medical Center.
