DENVER (AP) A new report is due out today from the Wildfire Insurance and Forest Health Task Force.
The group will present a report to Gov. John Hickenlooper that recommends creating a way to calculating risks for individual properties in high hazard areas.
The Governor created the task force in January - and the group is in charge of coming up with policies that would protect property and people within high risk wildfire areas.
This summer, Colorado saw one of the worst wildfires in its history - the Black Forest fire damaged about 500 homes near Colorado Springs - and two homeowners died while trying to escape the flames.
