GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- If you have a child who suffers from autism, a new program is providing help and support.
Strive (formerly Mesa Developmental Services) is introducing the Skills program. It's based on applied behavior analysis with a child development perspective, and its goal is to teach a number of skills while decreasing problem behavior.
This type of intervention is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and other agencies.
If you're interested in knowing more about the program or how to sign up, call Sharon Jacksi at 256-8608.
