PALISADE,Colo. The Wine Country Inn in Palisade is seeing changes after bringing on their new Executive Chef.
Chef Chris Foster has only been in the valley for a about a month and already his customers are noticing a difference.
The new chef said he is focusing on building a menu around all of the fresh produce and beef the Grand Valley has to offer.
"So far people are loving the local the fresh they can taste it you can totally taste a difference in a zucchini that I go out and pick out of our garden versus one that I would order Chile, or Mexico, or California," said Foster.
Foster is originally from Chicago and said he is excited to be in what he calls the premier culinary area of the Western Slope.
And while his food has gotten excellent reviews by visitors to the Inn he now said he is focusing on bringing in more locals to the restaurants.
