GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. West Star Aviation plans to begin construction of a new paint hangar within the next 45 days at the Grand Junction Regional Airport
Originally, the airport had planned on partnering with the company to pay for the hangar's construction but due to unforseen circumstances had to withdraw from the project.
West Star Aviation has since found private funding for the project.
"once the facility is completed, we'll start adding people to the different areas of our business to support those larger airplanes and really the new market is the larger aircraft," says manager, Dave Krogman.
The hangar's construction will help expand the company and help bring new jobs to the Grand Valley.
By offering paint services for larger aircrafts, west star aviation hopes to transform themselves into a one stop shop for aircraft maintenance and upgrades.
