Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) --- After pleading guilty to domestic abuse because of a physical altercation with his then-girlfriend, councilman Rick Brainard has faced significant protest from Grand Junction residents.
But until recently, there hasn't been a clear idea of what residents are hoping to do.
"We received a issue committee registration from a committee called 'No Brainard Recall Committee," said City Clerk, Stephanie Tuin. "They filed under the fair campaign practices act."
Tuin says that although the committee now officially exists, no formal recall petition has been presented to the council.
