UPDATE: One woman dies in I-70 crash

One woman is dead and two men are in the hospital after their car crashes off the interstate.

According to Colorado State Patrol three people were driving a Chevy Impala down I-70 near mile post 66 around 2:30 A.M. when their car lost control and slammed into a rock wall before bursting into flames.

Passerby’s were able to pull all three out.

The driver and passengers have now been identified.

19 year old Christina Flager from Rifle was pronounced dead on scene.

The driver 21 year old Anthony Bracamontes from Rifle, and 26 year old Eric Fernandez of Grand Junction were taken to Saint Mary's Hospital.

Investigators say both speed and alcohol are suspected factors in the crash.

The accident is under investigation.

One woman is dead and two men are in the hospital after their vehicle crashes off the interstate.

According to Colorado State Patrol investigators, three people were driving a Chevy Impala down I-70 near mile post 66 around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning when their car left the road, drove down the median and crashed head-on into a rock wall.

The car burst into flames, and passerbys were able to pull all three out.

The woman, who was under 21, was pronounced dead on scene. One man was transported to St. Mary's Hospital by ambulance, and the other by Careflight. Both were over 21.

Investigators said both speed and alcohol are suspected factors in the crash.

Their names will not be released until the woman's next of kin is notified. KKCO 11 News will bring you updates as they become available.

    Ignorance is what comes to my mind after reading most coming, nothing can be easier than judgin others instead of wishing bad things for others you should be thanking god it hasnt occured to you as well

    The driver was Anthony who is now in jail facing vehicular homicide, This will never be over for this family.And to the anonymous as your posting remarks about how someone should "shut up its over" the rest of us will be praying you never have to experience such a tragic event in your life!

    eric was a passenger NOT the driver. Anthony was the driver. He is the only one responsible for this tragedy. Please know what you are talking about before saying something.

    No proof of insurance is the least thing to worry about. When you spoke of Erick you upsed the phrase'' was a great person'' was is past tense like he is no longer here. You can still talk to,see him,and feel him. He still has that chance to still be that great person and do the right thing. Because of his lack of caring about anyone else's life at that moment the only ''WAS'' here is Chrissy. I'm sure that's not how it meant to come out but please pay attention to how you word things. It's sad that him being a show boater cost a life. RIP beautiful Angel

    such a good person Erick was.....he is now in jail facing vehicle homicide charges and also had no proff of insurance!!!
