GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - With all the snow the region got overnight, today was a great day for ice climbing.
Ouray held their annual Ice Festival over the past four days.
Today, the last competitors raced for the ice trophy.
The festival was free for all who wanted to come out and watch-- or participate in ice climbing themselves.
Thirty of the biggest names in the outdoor industry set up tents for the festival, giving visitors a chance to shop for climbing gear and other winter items.
"We've just had people running all day through the zip line and the climbing. All our clinics have been full; our shows have been full," said Mike Macleod, with the Ouray Ice Park Board of Directors.
The Ice Festival is hosted by the Ouray Ice Park Inc., which partners with the City of Ouray to raise money all year to put on this event.
Visitors from all over the country come out here to take advantage of the free ice climbing and zip lining.
