Palisade home goes up in flames

PALISADE, Colo. A home in Palisade is a complete loss after being fully engulfed in flames early Tuesday morning.

The home was located in the 3800 block of G Road.

According to Palisade Fire Chief Richard Rupp the fire was contained around 3:20 a.m., but it was still burning in the attic of the home and crews were having a difficult time getting into the area to put it out.

No injuries have been reported at this time, but two adults and three animals were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
