GREELEY, Colo. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating after a 34-year-old man was hit and killed by a pickup truck while he was walking across U.S. Highway 34 in Greeley.

The Greeley Tribune reports Tomasz Adamowicz was hit just after midnight Saturday and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe he recently moved to Greeley from Roanoke, Virginia.

Police say they do not believe the driver of the pickup was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
