Pedestrian hit near Snowmass

Pitkin County, Colo. (KKCO) --- Late Friday night, a man was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Highway 82 and Aspen Village road.

Just after 11 p.m., Eduardo Torres-Reyes and his male passenger were driving westbound on Highway 82 in a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze when they hit the pedestrian in the roadway.

Neither Torres-Reyes nor the passenger were injured in the crash.

The pedestrian, whose name has yet to be released pending positive identification, is believed to be in his 40's or 50's and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
