LONE TREE, Colo. (AP) – Police say a pickup struck and killed a woman who was trying to cross Interstate 25 in the Denver suburb of Lone Tree.

City spokeswoman Kristen Knoll says the woman, who has not been identified, was struck early Sunday morning and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck voluntarily provided a blood sample and did not exhibit any signs of intoxication. Knoll says the driver was arrested for operating a vehicle without a valid driver's license.

No other details were released.
