Pilot suffers minor injuries after plane crash

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. The pilot and passenger of a small plane are fine, after going down in Garfield County Friday evening.

The call to officials came in around 7:15 p.m. Friday. Garfield County Sheriff's Office Spokesman Walt Stowe says two people were on board. The pilot suffered minor injuries bur refused treatment and went home.

The pair went down in a small, fixed-wing plane and made their way to a nearby Encana well pad site somewhere along 16 Road, about six from where the pavement ends.

Garfield County Sheriff's OFfice deputies are headed to the site and will secure it until FAA investigators can arrive.
