FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO) -- If your power goes out Tuesday, don't panic. It's probably on purpose.

Grand Valley Power plans to shut off power on May 21 as crews perform maintenance on the Fruita Substation, according to Public Relations Manager Bill Byers.

About 205 customers will be affected if they live on the circuit that feeds north on 19 Road with taps stretching east and west across the desert to Highway 139.

The outage will start at 1:30 p.m. and could last up to five hours.
