Police: Boy shot to death in southwest Denver

DENVER (AP) -- Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a boy in southwest Denver.

Police say officers were called to the 5200 block of West Bates Avenue just before 4 a.m. Saturday and found the boy with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, whose name and age have not been released, was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police say a white vehicle believed to have been involved in the shooting, left the scene before officers arrived.

No other information was released.
