Police: Student shoots self at Okla. junior high

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- Police say a student has apparently committed suicide in a shooting at a junior high school in Stillwater, Okla.

Police Capt. Randy Dickerson confirmed the shooting.

Police say there is no further danger at the school and that the shooting happened around 8 a.m. Wednesday.

School secretary Annette Jones said students are being taken to a nearby shopping center where they can be picked up by parents.

Stillwater lies about 70 miles west of Tulsa.
