WESTMINSTER, Colo. (AP) -- Police say four guns found on the grounds of a high school in suburban Denver are believed to have been part of a burglary at a nearby home.

Westminster police say a campus supervisor at Standley Lake High School found a shotgun and a lever action rifle between two sheds by athletic fields Wednesday afternoon. Two other hunting rifles were later found on school property.

Jefferson County school district spokeswoman Lynn Setzer says classes continued while police searched the school as a precautionary measure.

Police say they weren't aware of any recent threats against students or staff.
