Ending the season with a bang at Powderhorn

POWDERHORN, Colo. Spring is here and the weather is quickly warming up, meaning all of the snow at Powderhorn won't be around for much longer.

This is the last week to get up and enjoy carving up the powder at our local ski resort, they'll be shutting down the lifts next Sunday the 30th.

But there are plenty of things going on before the ski season ends.

"We've got a new competition which is going to be lot's of fun, we've got a mountain bike race up here," says Powderhorn spokesman, Dave Smith. "It's going to be down bills run, mountain bikes on the snow... no traction, it's where rubber meets the snow."

The bike race will kick-off day three of Powderhorn's 'Margaritaville' celebration.

The rest of the weekend will include races, a comedy night, live music and more.
