Many local restaurants wined and dined residents into the new year. Some owners said New Years Eve is their busiest night of the year.

"It's kind of the high point of the year we get busier and busier progressively throughout the year and the week of Christmas was fantastic we had our busiest week ever last week and this is kind of the icing on the cake this is the big party before we start all over again tomorrow," said Josh Niernberg, owner Bin 707.

Bin 707 offered a surf and turf menu with drink specials and festive decor, and said he had a packed house on the books.

Owner of 626 on Rood, Brenda Wray said her restaurant tends to be the pre-party but has special hours on New Years Eve.

"I mean be responsible have something to drink really good food and stay off the ice stay away from the road blocks," said Wray.

Each of the owners said they feel fortunate to have had such a successful year and look forward to new beginnings.

"I'm really excited for this 2013 I mean I just like the 13 aspect of it this has been a really good year and I hope for an even better one next year," said Wray.

"I'm just going to keep doing what I've been doing and hope to keep making people happy," said Niernberg.
