Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) – Students at Riverside Educational Center got a surprise visit Monday during class. The visitor interrupting the tutorial session was none other than the Grand Junction Rockies mascot, Corky.

Corky signed autographs and gave out presents to the students.
He was joined by club general manager Tim Ray and Community Hospital President and CEO Chris Thomas.

It was an afternoon the kids won't soon forget. "I thought it was pretty cool. I would have never thought that Corky would come to school. Getting t-shirts and stuff was pretty cool," says Julio Saenz, student at Riverside Educational Center.

Of course plenty of pictures were taken with the mascot. When the students opened their gifts, they found a Grand Junction Rockies hat, eye black, baseball cards and t- shirts.
