MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) There's a new, eye-catching fire truck in town as fire officials unveil their brand new pink fire engine.

The new truck makes it's public debut Thursday evening at the downtown farmer's market at Main Street and 5th Ave.

The engine, named Delaney, will be used throughout the county to show support for those battling cancer.

"Last year, all Grand Junction fire departments wore pink duty shirts for the month of October to show support and awareness for cancer," says Grand Junction firefighter and paramedic, Brian Clark. "This year all 11 fire departments will be wearing pink t-shirts in October."

The shirts are on sale to the public at any of the fire departments for just $20.

All proceeds go to 'Delaney Donates,' a charity supporting local families struggling with cancer.
