LOVELAND, Colo. (AP) — The driver of a Loveland school bus that struck a pedestrian who later died faces a misdemeanor traffic citation.

Police said Monday that Tracy McDowell faces one count of careless driving resulting in death.

Police say McDowell was turning when the bus hit 70-year-old Norma Selzler on Wednesday. She died two days later. No children were on the bus at the time.

The Loveland Reporter-Herald says McDowell is on paid administrative leave from the Thompson School District, which plans an internal investigation.
