GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. A park nearly twenty years in the making, the land for Matchett Park has been left basically untouched since 1996 when the City of Grand Junction took control of it.
But on Thursday night, the second of a series of meetings took place to gauge community opinions and get feedback on several possible plans for the park.
"The first meeting was all about a visioning exercise," says GJ Superintendent Recreation, Traci Weiland." "The community got their opportunity to tell us their vision for the park now we're taking it a step further and actually developing concepts."
Attendees were presented with three different concepts and then voted on aspects they liked and disliked in real time using keypad polling.
