BOULDER, Colo. (AP) -- Authorities say a pilot escaped injury when he crashed his small, single-engine plane at an airport in Broomfield.

Sara Farris, a spokeswoman for North Metro Fire, tells the Daily Camera the pilot overshot the runway at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport at about 10:30 a.m. Friday. The plane's landing gear got caught in the dirt, causing the aircraft to flip over.

The pilot's name has not been released.
