Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) - This month Hilltop's Latimer House has a special, informative kiosk at the Mesa Mall.

The kiosk has information and take-away pamphlets on domestic violence.

It's a sensitive subject because most domestic violence happens behind closed doors, and those being abused often feel intimidated.

At the kiosk you'll find stories from the local campaign "Real Men Speak Out Against Domestic Violence." It features posters of several local men stating their stand about domestic violence.

The Latimer House provides the Grand Valley with advocacy, shelter, children's services and a 24-hour crisis line for victims of domestic violence. If you are a victim of domestic violence, please call the hotline at (970) 241-6704.

The Latimer House is located at 1003 Main St. The phone number is (970) 241-0324, or find them online by clicking the link below under "related links."

The Mesa Mall donated the kiosk space to the Latimer House. It's located in the clock court of the mall near the food court. It will be up until Oct. 30.
