St. Mary's ranks high in patient safety

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. St. Mary's hospital received an "A" for the Spring 2014 Hospital Safety Score.

The scores are based on accidents, errors, injuries and infections. Only 32% of the more than 2,500 U.S general hospitals rated received an "A" and St. Mary's fell in that group.

Officials said while they are excited about the top score they are always looking to improve every year in hopes of keeping their rank at the same level.
