State offices closed for Columbus Day

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) – This Columbus Day, be aware of some office closures.

Many state offices will be closed Monday, Oct. 8. They include state driver’s licenses, the Department of Public Health and Environment’s vital records office, Division of Wildlife Service Centers and administrative officers for executive branch departments.

All Colorado State Parks will remain open and staffed. However, visitor centers and administrative offices will be closed.

Stay safe on state highways: Colorado State Patrol troopers don’t get a holiday, and neither do Department of Transportation crews.
