GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- For many, the weekend continues Monday as our country celebrates Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

That means several state and local offices will be closed.

State driver's license offices, the Department of Public Health and Environment's Vital Records Office, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife Offices will be closed.

All state parks will be opened and staffed, but the visitor's centers will be closed.

Here in Mesa County, the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder, Planning and Public Works offices won't be open, and neither will the Old County Courthouse, Mesa County Fairgrounds, and records and inmate visitation for the Mesa County Sheriff's Office.

Emergency services, criminal justice services and animal services will operate as normal today.
