GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Warm days don't necessarily mean warm nights, and colder temperatures are coming.
There are several things you will want to do though, before you have to turn up the heat this weekend.
Get in contact with the pros as soon as possible, they get busy quickly this time of year; and you can give them a head start by putting in a little work of your own.
"Units have been sitting for a season and some people haven't cleaned then in a few years," says John Burwell Jr. of Peterson Plumbing. "We just want to make sure for safety that they're good and clean."
You should also be sure to keep working carbon monoxide detectors around any room where your heaters are located.
While fire and smoke are easy to detect, carbon monoxide that can be released by your heater is invisible and has no smell or taste... and it's deadly.
