GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) - Local high schooler’s that made it a point to make it to school every day had the chance to win big on Saturday. Grand Junction Subaru and Subaru of America partnered up with District 51 for its third annual 'be cool, stay in school' car give away.
64 students qualified for the car giveaway by maintaining a 98 percent or better attendance record for the 2010-2011 school year. Five students names were randomly selected and then they each got a key. Which ever key started the car- that was the winner, and folks didn't have to wait long to find out who'd be driving away in a new car.
"I’m still freaking out, its just awesome, first one picked and first one to start it and I get it, my hearts still pounding, I’m just so excited" says Dylan Miller who won the car. Out of the sixty four students eligible only 47 showed up.
