GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Space travel is a topic that nearly everyone wonders about, but not everyone has come up to solutions with some of the real-life problems NASA has today.
But that's exactly what third, fourth and fifth grade gifted and talented students at Wingate Elementary have done and they showed off their work at their Space Exploration Expo on Thursday.
"There's a space suit in there that one of the kids designed, we have a space craft that he's designed how to put gravity on the space craft, you can have black holes described to you," says Wingate GT teacher, Carri Fledderjohn.
The expo was opened to Wingate parents so they could see the work their students had done.
Students spent months researching and then building their own solutions.
