Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) - Students at Dos Rios Elementary School are proud to be Americans, according to the theme for the third grade's concert held Tuesday night at the school.
The students performed songs such as "God Bless America," "This Land is Your Land," and "Heart of America." Music director, Pam Opsal, says she feels it’s important to sing patriotic songs. She feels that the music program helps the students develop.
Family and friends packed the Dos Rios gym to see the performance.
These performances have become an exciting part of the school year. On Dec. 18, the second grade will perform a holiday show dressed as zoo animals.
