GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. --- The sunny weather has many people around the valley catching a little spring fever.

The snow is melting, the sun was shining and families are starting to venture out to Canyon View Park. After weeks of cooler temperatures, children were eager to join their parents in outdoor activities Wednesday.

"I love the sunshine because my daughters are always inside, and it's also good to bring them outside," said resident Yesica Olivas.

Everyone brought snacks to the park, but not for themselves. Feeding the ducks is a popular activity for families at Canyon View Park.

March 31 marks the beginning of baseball season, and today’s sun sparked excitement in one Rockies fan.

“Now that we have the Grand Junction Rockies here, I’m excited for baseball,” said fan David Spurger.

But not everyone is ready for spring. Grand Valley resident Brinley Hrubes said one of her favorite things is the snow.
