Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) – The Super Bowl is always highly anticipated, and no we're not talking about the big game, but the annual fundraiser held at Palisade High School.
It's the seventh year for the fundraiser that supports the Palisade art and culinary departments.
For $15 you get to pick out a hand made bowl and you get to fill it with soup or chili. You also get bread and dessert. All the food is prepared by the high school students. The event draws people from all over the valley. “I like seeing all the variety of different kinds of bowls, different kinds of bowls just like different kinds of students that are making them,” says Amber McCormick a graduate from Palisade High School.
All the proceeds go to the two departments, and are used to purchase supplies. The funds also go to help the culinary department compete in competition against schools in Denver.
