Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) – Each summer the Math and Science Center holds events and day camps to help the youth in the valley harness their brain power.

The first Thursday evening of every month during the summer the Math and Science Center opens their doors and have a themed math and science night. This Thursday night's theme was superheroes.

Kids were able to learn about static electricity, fire, what it might be like to fly, and they made their own capes. This was the last of the themed Thursday nights for the summer.

Although the summer Thursday night events have now ended, the Math and Science Center is open year-round 10am -5pm Tuesday through Saturday.
Admission: $4 per person
$12 maximum for families
