GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. (KKCO) Some local families in need will be seeing a brighter Christmas this year. Members of the Colorado Army National Guard flew in from all over Colorado to help the Salvation Army distribute more than a thousand boxes of food and toys to families that qualified for the extra help.
The boxes were packed with donations from around the Grand Valley. The community collected more supplies than larger cities in Colorado, organizers say.
Tomorrow, Delta will have their own Christmas distribution for the first time.
