Traffic alert: 6 road projects to begin Monday

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) – Six public works projects will begin this upcoming Monday, Sept. 30 and may affect your commute.

Traffic on Highway 6 & 50 between Valley Court and Sanford Drive has been narrowed down to one lane in both directions and shifted to the north side of the highway. A detour route is in place at 21 ½ Road due to the closing of 22 Road and will be closed until Nov. 1. The speed limit through the work zone has been reduced to 35 mph.

Elm Drive between 28 ½ Road and Elm will be closed for sanitary sewer construction.

G Road between 23 ½ Road and 24 Road will be closed for utility and street improvements. A detour route is in place.

23rd Street between Texas Avenue and Mesa Avenue will also be closed for sanitary sewer construction. A detour route will be in place.

Epps Drive will be closed for street reconstruction.

Both West and East Parkview Drive will be closed due to waterline construction.
