UPDATE: Drivers ID'd in 170B crash

Mesa County, Colo. -- Two people were killed early Thursday morning in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 business loop near Clifton.

The crash happened just after 2 a.m. Thursday morning off 30 Road and I-70B. The victims include one male and one female, who were both 23 years old.

A 2008 Subaru Impreza was traveling westbound on I-70 business loop at 30 Road when the driver failed to negotiate a curve. After going airborne for more than 100 feet, the vehicle overturned and ejected both occupants, who were pronounced dead on scene.

The male was identified as Dustin Lamb of Fruita. The female was identified as Michaela Kahle of Montrose.

The cause of death is accident and the manner of death is blunt force injuries they both sustained after being ejected. Toxicology results showed they were both intoxicated.

The Colorado State Patrol would like to remind drivers to always wear your seat belt.

A fatal rollover overnight still has several lanes shut down in Grand Junction.

The crash happened just after 2 Thursday morning off 30 Road and I-70B.

Emergency crews say it was a single vehicle rollover -- investigators are still determining how the vehicle rolled at this time.

Two people were in a Subaru at the time of the crash -- a male and a female -- both were 23 years old and were pronounced dead on scene after being ejected from the vehicle.
