USA Pro Challenge riders are headed to Summit County.


ASPEN, Colo. (AP) -- USA Pro Challenge riders are headed to Summit County.

They will be racing from Aspen to Breckenridge in the event's second stage on Tuesday. The route will take them over Independence Pass and through Buena Vista, Fairplay and Alma. They'll cross over both Hoosier and Boreas passes before crossing the finish line.

Colorado Highway 82 east from Aspen over Independence Pass is closed for the beginning of the race. Other roads that will be closed later in the day include stretches of U.S. highways 24 and 285 and Colorado Highway 9 from Fairplay to Breckenridge.

The race ends Sunday in Denver.
