GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. A skills lab brought together 75 providers helping them learn better ways to care for patients by advanced equipment that teaches distance learning, telehealth and simulation technology including a $150,000 dollar mannequin.
With the touch of a button the mannequin can have a heart attack, cry out in pain and simulate other real life issues to help medical professionals get more hands on experience.
The training is part of the ongoing commitment of the VA and its employees to provide high quality care.
