VPD searching for stolen fur coat suspects

Vail, Colo. -- The Vail Police Department is looking for two suspects who are believed to be responsible for a high dollar theft in the Vail Village.

On Mar. 29, officers responded to a burglar report of a unique fur coat. The value of the coat is estimated to be around $95,000.

The suspects involved were said to be one male and one female. The male was described as tall, thin, white, an eastern European accent and around 50 years of age. The female was described as a shorter white female with dark brown hair and in her mid-twenties.

On Mar. 31, officers discovered a second theft of a fur coat that occurred the day before. The coat taken was valued at about $45,000 and was taken from a different store that was also in Vail Village. A video of a male and female were captured committing the second crime. It is unknown at this point if the two crimes are connected.

The Vail Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify these individuals.
